Necessary August 18, 2008
I guess there's not that much to say. It protects your screen from bumps and scratches, is clear and transparent, inexpensive, and should be on the back of everyones camera.

Excellent product. I ordered it to replace a lost one on my Nikon d300. It is still clear to see the pictures in the lcd while protecting it.

This is exactly like one that came with camera. My original eventually got pretty scratched up, but this replaced. it.

I am so glad that one of these shipped with my D70s or I would certainly have a broken LCD screen by now. My original screen protector is now cracked but I'd much rather replace the $10 protector than repair the camera.
I don't, however, like how the cover clouds the screen. I sometimes have to take it off to see the details of what I am shooting. Well worth snapping it on and off to have the added protection, though.
