5 out of 5 stars Never get lost!   January 9, 2007
This is an awesome navigation unit. Perfect size for mounting in your car or to take with you where ever you travel.

4 out of 5 stars Garmin Nuvi, it won't let you down   January 9, 2007
I am finding this little fellow very useful, especially if you are in a new city and in down town. I used to be very tensed up driving in down town of an unknown city. Now rest assured, you can completely relax and let garmin take control. It gives me mental peace, good for my health as my anxiety levels come down significantly if you lost your way.

I have been using it continuously for last three months and it worked almost all the time. However there are couple of times, it failed to pick up GPS signal when I was in a parking lot which was under ground. When I drove to the surface it is still frozen, continuous to show failure to pick up signal. I had to pull in to a gas station and resart it and it picked the signal instatntly.

I connected my blue tooth capable phone to garmin and it worked perfect. However, it would be much more comfortable if it has capability to down load and retain your address book from your mobile phone.

I dont find the MP3 player much usefull. the sound quality is not that great compare to your car stereo system but it works OK. You can hear the song but may not get stereo quality.

Overall it is good stuff, worth the money I invested.

5 out of 5 stars Garmin Nuvi 360   January 9, 2007
This is a great product, easy to use, great looking and full of features. MP3 player is great on long drives and bluetooth for my cell phone works great. I don't have much use for the translator but if you travel it would be a good tool. I have used this for over a month now and the directions have been right on. I was looking at the Tom Tom One but the Nuvi won me over with it's Bluetooth and it's looks. I am very glad I bought it.

5 out of 5 stars Great unit with great customer service as well   January 9, 2007
Much has already been written here about the functionality of the unit, so I'll just say I agree and couldn't be happier with the mapping, software, voice directions, Bluetooth, etc.

I wanted to add my two cents about my customer service experience after the car adapter fell apart during the first month of use. (I don't think it was generally poor quality, but defects happen.) The hold time on the support time was long, since it's right after the holidays and everyone is calling, but a quick email to their tech support and Garmin is sending me a new cable - no need to prove the old one broke, no need to ship it, get an RMA, or any of that hassle. That's good considering it's only a $20 accessory.

I waited to write the review til I had some idea of customer service and that experience has added to the great experience I've gotten with the device itself. Highly recommended!

2 out of 5 stars Dissapointed in Software   January 7, 2007

We were very happy when we received this product and were happy that we made a good investment, until we start using it .....

Unfortunately, when we started using the GPS and start getting lost in places which were built 2 years ago, we found out the software was quite old and was sold in a new package. There has been a lot of construction in North Florida lately and this GPS got us lost in 50% of the places we went to. Garmin should be very careful in promoting the new design with a old software. We had bought GPS primarily for traveling purposes and rest of the features were added benefits which made us choose this product among many others, like Tom Tom, NavMan, etc. etc.

We had to return the unit as it was useless for us. Amazon was very professional and took the return in a timely fashion.

Garmin makes great products but make sure that the software has a updated version before you buy one next time.
