| Customer Reviews:
Great Product September 21, 2008 The cover that comes with the Palm TX is flimsy and barely keeps the dust out. This case protects the Palm very well. I feel very comfortable taking the Palm to work with me in this case because I know it's protected well from environmental insults.
Great looks, but that's about it July 16, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had my TX on one of these for over a year. It's very classy, and there are few ways to look more pretentious while using your PDA. ;)
The lid folds neatly behind allowing quick access to the screen, though it makes the case somewhat too wide, even for big hands, so I usually take the Palm out for extended use.
But that's all the good I can say about it. Reading the other reviews, I'm guessing they haven't really streamlined the production, as some people state they could fit their TX perfectly in it, while others claim it protrudes by a good chunk on the top. On my case, the bottom straps where only slightly shorter than they should, so the Palm did protrude a little, and some three mm from the screen where occluded by the case, which was pretty annoying. Still I wasn't going to give up on my conceitedness, and after several months of "manual pressure," I was able to fit the whole screen inside the case frame.
But even when the PDA fits completely inside (mine still doesn't), don't expect any protection from this case. My TX invariably plunged head down and partially slip out of it the few times I dropped it, even with the strap closed, taking the whole hit.
Also, I don't know if it was because moderate shaking (I carry it on my backpack), but placing SD cards on the pockets would yield scratching on the screen over time, so I gave up on using those.
While the finishing wasn't praiseworthy (some of the interior plastic on the bottom straps protruded since I took it out of the box), the case has stood well, but the soft leather in the pockets and the frame is coming apart now.
I am now looking for a more sturdy case, or perhaps a flexible keyboard/case. In any case, something that will cover and grip the device properly. I'd advise you to do the same, unless you want it just for the looks. ;)
I rest my case (literally).
well... June 27, 2008 it does a good job of keeping the palm organized but, it stinks to high heaven. i mean that literally, it has a reek to it and I cannot get out and the reek is just as strong today as it was 2 years ago when i bought it
protective, yes, but in my way June 18, 2008 This case is fantastic at protecting my Palm from scratches and bumps. It also makes it more bulky and less slippery so it does not fall out of places like my scrub pants pocket. The added bulk can be a "minus" as well since of course it adds bulk to my scrub pockets. The way the case hugs the screen on the Palm gets in my way and is irritating sometimes, but I still use the case because of how wonderfully protective it is.
This product will fit the Tungsten E2 April 21, 2008 Just in case you were wondering. I called Palm asked about this Leather Case and compared the dimensions of the TX to the E2. Both are about the same. So I ordered the case and slipped the E2 inside and it fits. It doesn't slide or move around.
If you have the E2 you can rest assure this case will fit it.
