It's works well! February 15, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I use the Nokia LD-3W GPS Module with my Mobile Nokia E-61. Once a I've download de maps from de site of Nokia, it has begun to work fast. For me, it is very usefull becouse I live in Sao Paulo, the biggest city os Soth America.
Connectivity February 12, 2008 This product does not work with a HP iPAC 2495. User manual is sparse and customer support is useless. Might work OK with a Nokia phone, but I'd advise against trying it with anything else.
GREAT DEVICE February 1, 2008 THIS IS A VERY GOOD GPS DEVICE, I LIVE IN GUADALAJARA MEXICO, AND I USE IT WITH MY NOKIA N81, WORKS PERFECT, IT CONNECTS IN 5 SEC. AND IT TAKES ME EVERYWERE IN THE CITY, WORKS GREAT WITH MY NOKIA MAPS SOFTWARE, I RECOMEND IT, GET IT FROM AMAZON!!
Works Beautifully January 22, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got this for Christmas 2007 from my fiancee and it is just wonderful. It more than doubled the usage I get from my Nokia N800. No, there's no software, but I didn't need it with all of the open source options (gpsdrive, maemo mapper, etc.).
The SiRFstar III chip is a must. It's very fast and it can get a fix from almost anywhere. I usually keep it in my glove box, console, or coat pocket, and it even works when it is inside the house. The battery life is great especially because it sleeps when my N800 moves out of bluetooth range or shuts off. Oh, and pairing is such a breeze -- just turn it on and look for it.
Outstanding device... without the recommended software. October 14, 2007 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Pros: A really outstanding device. Works better, in most cases, than my Garmen Vista C. When paired with Amaze GPS software (this software is free and works with most mobile phones) it works flawlessly. The battery life is superb.
Cons: The software that is/isn't included is a trial download (Wayfinder around $20 for the full version). After spending hours trying to download it, I gave up. Go for the free Amaze software.
