| Customer Reviews:
Great TTL flash! July 12, 2008 I bought one with my Nikon D80. I've since bought another. There is a lot of good information in the other reviews here, so I won't blab, but I love the wireless capabilities of this flash. It seems to do most everything the SB-800 will do (the SB-800 is more powerful though). It is also lighter than the SB-800. The cost of the SB-600 vs. the SB-800 made it a no brainer for me. I used both SB-600's and an SB-800 to do a large family outdoor protrait a few weeks ago. The flashes are awesome. Why not get 2?
Works great July 10, 2008 This flash saved me when I had to photograph my cousins wedding. She chose a very low lit - nearly dark - venue and this flash did not let me down. The anti-red eye worked great and the photographs I took came out great thanks to this flash.
Best option for the price July 9, 2008 It can do almost everything that the SB-800 can, plus it's a lot cheaper and lighter. Unless you need one of the feature provided by the SB-800, this flash will be a better choice.
Great flash/Great Price July 8, 2008 It was an SB-800 or SB-600. After using both inside and outside, it was clear that for your average user the SB-600 was more than enough. For the extras you get with the SB-800 you pay too much for too little. There's definitely a time and a place for the SB-800 but I would recommend anyone to save your money and go with the SB-600...or get 2 even.
Works great July 7, 2008 Works great for indoor pictures as well as complementing outdoor lighting. Make sure you get a diffuser to go with it to soften the light when needed. 4 AA goes a long way, I have had no problems after taking 400+ pictures.
