Great item, January 12, 2008
I have seen the Garmin friction mount pad on a few parked cars and it looked interesting. I needed something to use in my motor home since the suction cup mount would vibrate off the windshield. This pad works wonderful. It weighs a few pounds and has what I would describe as 4 bean bags with rubber bottoms. I stays in place and puts the GPS at eye level on the dashboard. The GPS is easier to see, more easily adjusted, and smooths out any motion induced vibrations. It's the perfect fix for my motorhome but I discovered it is perfect for all my cars also. You need this!
Friction Mount works well January 12, 2008
The Friction Mount for Nuvi works really well on the dash of my Silverado. It maintains its' position very well. It will come in handy when I am traveling to use in the rental cars. Well worth the money.

Stable on dashboard; no adhesive or suction cups. Easily moved ith Garmin Nuvi 350 attached. Fits in glove compatment of both my cars. Ideal for its purpose.

This little thing works for me and you may be (just take a look other 550+ reviews here). When I need to purchase something I always look all reviews for my own reference but some reviews are very negative based on their own view. The final judgment is on your own hands. There are two similar products one has hook and one without you need to look at the price difference. I monitored price of this product before and after my purchase and it varies within 5 bucks and you need good luck to catch the bottom price.

Looked at and tried most available others and found this to be easiest to use, most flexible positioning of unit, most secure in auto and priced right.
