great transmitter IF you use batteries August 29, 2008 I bought this to play audio books while on a long trip. For the first few minutes, we experienced lots of interference and kept changing stations to avoid it. We were about to abandon it when I decided to try batteries instead of the A/C power. Voila! Rock solid, noise-free audio for the rest of the two-day trip.
(I did get some cell-phone "chatter", e.g. when receiving calls, but never bothered to see if changing stations would eliminate that. There's no telling which component was passing on that noise, but it wasn't a big deal.)
Item never worked August 23, 2008 The device lites up but it doesnt transmit. I tried different audio configurations (senders/receivers) but it just dont work at all.
Great Buy - Great Price August 17, 2008 This was the 3rd FM transmitter that I had purchased. The previous two transmitters had terrible sound quality and would not keep a solid connection to my iPod. This transmitter has great sound quality and I couldn't believe how little it cost!
good buy :] August 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
its really reliable but no batteries included one thing to remember is to not put the transmitter and the mp3 or whatever you're using as a music player too close to each other it does actually work about 20ft from the radio- i highly suggest this over the overpriced belkin transmitters!
I like this thing August 14, 2008 I just got this item and I pleasantly surprised at its performance. I get a crazy amount of radio stations for the mid size city (50K) I live in, and being able to be able to choose a range of output frequencies is great. I originally bought a 4 fixed FM frequency transmitter and found my city has stations on those frequencies. I tried this transmitter on all my cars and home radios and it works! One of my cars is so old it only has AM/FM and now I can play anything on my MP3 player in my car. Woowee! I am not familiar with the Coby name but I hope it lasts for a while. Even if is does not the price is relatively cheap.
