I bought this product to charge a SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 player. After conneting the MP3 player to this product the menu item on the MP3 player no longer shows the USB Port option to allow you to select the type og device. I had two of the same model MP3 players, one for me and one for my granddaughter. It ruined both of them. The charger does seem to work okay with a Creative Zen MP3 player. Please be very careful about what you try to use this charger for. Make sure the device is still under warranty before trying to charge it with this charger. And that the vender will replace it or refund your money with no restocking fee if the charger kills the device. I bought my MP3 players from Newegg and they replaced one of them with no problem and were out of stock for the second one and refunded my money with no problem.
 Perfect charger for MP3 July 22, 2008
Exactly what we needed. Did not want to lug laptop on vacation. Needed a charger for kid's mp3 player. Plug the USB cord in to the charger and into the mp3 and voila, mp3 charges from the wall instead of having to lug the laptop. We use it at home now too.
Works great for the iPod Shuffle July 21, 2008
I bought this for my Aunt to recharge her iPod shuffle and it works great! She doesn't have a computer at home so this is a great way for her to charge the phone.

I purchased this device to power a USB VGA adapter device. It works fine for this purpose, providing appropriate power.
It cannot deliver 1A but about 200mA July 2, 2008

I bought that because it specifies 1A output current and other don't. However, I did some measurement myself. The no load output voltage is about 5.4V. The voltage drops down to about 4.8V for 200mA load. I didn't try 1A since I don't know if there is any output short-circuit protection.
