It would be difficult to find a better camera for the price. It is fairly lightweight and has plenty of technical options available even if you do not use them frequently.

I have never written a review before but thought in this case it was warranted. Since this was the first time I ordered a product from amazon I wanted to comment about the great service I had from them.
We were going on a quick trip and I ordered the SD870IS for next day delivery, I placed an order at 2pm and to my shock it was delivered to my door at 9am the next morning. Talk about service.
As for the camera, its truly wonderful. I had an old SD400 that I loved but after taking a ton of abuse over the years started having trouble with the screen. I bought this camera along with two 4-gig cards and took about an hour of video plus hundreds of pictures with load of storage space to spare. I just love the quality of the camera and will again order from amazon.

i cant say enough good things about this camera. it takes AMAZING pictures... the quality is top notch and the colors are so vivid. it takes great perfect stills despite my fast-moving baby. its easy to operate. it is well worth the money. i researched a lot of cameras before deciding on this one after talking to a professional photographer who uses this for everyday use. it was definitely the right decision!
