We bought an Apple iPod Nano Silver with 8 Gb memory for my grandson's 13th birthday. We heard back from him shortly after he opened his gift. He is so happy with it especially the larger memory. He said the quality of sound from such a small package is really great. He said his friends really like it too! Direct quotes.

Good value for the price September 9, 2008
I had a shuffle first and wanted to have more space available for songs and to have videos for my step son during long road trips. It works great, battery lasts longer than I thought. I still need to find a case and a fm transmitter that is compatiable.

Two months ago I purchased a third generation ipod nano and have had a most positive experience. The music is clear and the sound is deep. I enjoy the smaller size of the nano, and with a clip case, it can be used with ease at the gym. The nano can play over 2,000 songs, so your music library can be significant. Based on my research, the price for the nano on amazon.com was far better than any store or website. I strongly recommend the ipod nano if you are searching for a new ipod.

I am thrilled to be able to consolidate all of my CD's on this little device. And now, with the right adapter, to have it all in my car as well.
