What I wanted July 7, 2008 This is a great bathroom radio and it has a CD player, which I wanted. The batteries are safe but easily accessible (no tools required). The CD player sucks batteries quickly, but that is to be expected.
Bad Design July 1, 2008 At first I was pretty happy with the product, I got OK reception, buttons were easy to use, etc. But whoever designed the antenna was out of their mind. The little suction cup gets stuck to tile surface without even trying and as a result after several attempts to pick up the radio the entire antenna snapped off. $50 to fix. I'll think twice before buying a Sony product again.
Great clock radio June 23, 2008 I got this for my husand and he loves it. He uses it in the shower and the backyard. Easy to use and we love the added alarm feature!
Wish the CD function was more functionablep June 21, 2008 I bought this product bc i recently bought a few meditation cd's (don't ask) i wanted to listen to in bed, shower, kitchen, etc. i needed something portable. anyway, my only complaint is you can't just skip ahead to the next track. in order to skip ahead you have to turn and hold that big knob on the right as the songs/tracks move ahead. you can hear the song/track as its moving and its not really fast at all. i think its sort of annoying that it works this way so if i stop to do something i'd have to start the cd over and hold that knob until i get to the spot where i left off. it has a "pause" botton but it will only pause for a minute or 2.
not bad, but awfully big..... June 9, 2008 We purchased this as a replacement for an earlier version of Sony shower radio, and didn't realize it had a cd player also. Frankly, I can't imagine EVER using the CD player.... Also, the CD player makes this bigger than it needs to be for our purposes and so we had to switch around shampoos, etc to make it fit. There is no "automatic off" feature, which we used to use all the time. Having the main buttons at the front, as opposed to the top, does make this easier to use, however.
