Great Quality and VERY Compact November 11, 2004 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It's a neat little and very polstered bag. The only downside is that the main compartment doesn't open all the way because of the straps for the tri pod. Also the protective sleeve inside for the lense is sort of hart to release when the side compartment is filled with lenses. It's very small -almost feels like a children's backpack on your back - but if this is what you are looking for then get it. It's sufficient for my Digi-SLR with 200 mm, one lens and a couple of filters, extra battery and nice strogae system for the memory card and all my cabels, battery loader. But not anything else (like a travel book or some snacks). I might get a bigger one, but the price for this one os great in comparison with quality !!

I own the Sony DSC-717 digital camera and have found this bag complimentary to the Sony. The only improvement I believe it needs is the addition of a chest strap. To correct this problem I went to a local outdoor supply store and built one myself for less than two dollars... All in all it's an outstanding backpack.
This is a great "starter" bag for me October 5, 2002 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I don't have a lot of photography gear--SLR body, 2 lenses (1 80mm and 1 300mm), a hood, a few filters--but I needed a good way to haul all of it around. This is a wonderful bag to do that. It is built very well and I believe that it will protect my equipment from injury should an accident ever arise. I still have room to add a few more lenses before I outgrow this bag. I am a petite person and was able to adjust the shoulder straps small enough to be comfortable on my back--a big plus. (Only downside is that I suspect adding my tripod to the mix may be a little awkward, but nonetheless I believe I will be able to lash it somehow to the outside of the bag with minimal trouble since I don't take my tripod along very often.) All-in-all, if you need a convenient and safe way to haul "the basics" in camera equipment around, this is a great, sturdy bag for it.
Great quality, a bit small.... July 24, 2002 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This backpack is a very high quality product and is very compact (too compact for me). I was so pleased with the quality, however, that I returned the item and just got the next size up, the Expedition 4.

This pack worked great for about a week. It handles my STsi along with a 75-300mm lens, a 28-80mm lens, a 2x tele-converter, a hot shoe flash, 8 filters, and assorted other trinkets. The one main complaint is there isn't much room for film. Also there isn't any room to grow with the pack. The pack is very small. If you are the "just bring this and thats it" type then this is YOUR pack. I on the other have bought 2 more lens (35-135 & a 1000) and another body. Not a chance of fitting this into the pack. another complaint is that since it is so small lashing a tripod to the pack is just notfeasable. All in all GREAT pack! Although I have a few complaints it is great to just keep your camera with you and your hands free. And I did order a much larger pack. So enough of my whinning!
