5 out of 5 stars I love it   September 16, 2008

I absolutly love this. I needed something for school, so I could put my school work on it and take to to class. No more printing out homework for my. My professor has told everyone this is such a better way bc he can just upload the work and reveiw it. I also own another that I keep my photos on. I can brag to anyone about my kids who have a comp. Its also small and light weight I can keep it on my keychain. 5 stars!!!

4 out of 5 stars Very cute, little green drive   September 15, 2008

This thumb drive is not readyboost capable, but certainly is fast. I used it at work, and transferred all my files to my new computer in minutes, saving the IT guy like hours. This drive was bought new thru the "used & new" option. I got a great deal. I may buy a few more for stocking stuffers this december. It really is a great product.

5 out of 5 stars Not garbage, excellent value   September 12, 2008

I'm not sure why the one guy said his Data Taveler failed after 2 weeks (must have a virus or really crappy PC). I've had my 2 for about 2 months, and use them about everyday for MP3 storage and .NET storage. Not once have they not read or written properly. I have had no problems what so ever. These little flash drives are great, I recommend getting these versus blowing money at Walmart for the junk they sell. I may order another one very soon, to make 3.

1 out of 5 stars Cheap Garbage - already failed.   September 3, 2008

Kingston DataTraveler 2GB has failed in less than 2 weeks of intermittent use.

I have attempted to attach the device to several different Windows based computers and get the same error message each time: "USB Device Not recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned...."

Other USB devices work without error.

I have tried various command prompt and registry fixes, to no avail.

Bottom line really is that this device malfunctioned in a very short period of time. I had acquired this through the Pepsi Points promotion for free and still feel cheated.
