Awesome Arms!!!!!!!!! April 30, 2008 If you happen to come across this arm, grab it because just as everyone who buys it is saying.......excellent product, especially for the money!!!!!!!!!!!!
Inexpensive, sturdy and easy to install April 29, 2008 I think that this is a great product at a great price. I was delighted to find how easy the installation was. It took me less than 30 minutes.
Well made and works great. April 24, 2008 Wow! This mount was everything I needed. Strong, easy to install and not bad looking. I mounted my 23" Samsung basically in a corner next to a fireplace and simply swing the arm out for viewing. The mounting plate (200 x 100) fit right on my tv and actually made mounting easier. I would have given it 5 stars except the wire management system, as mentioned in other reviews, leaves a little to be desired. The concept is great, but the holes in the tube are small, and it is difficult to get more than the power cord and a coaxial through the tube. Fortunately for me, this is a third tv and that's all I needed, but I can see the problem if you wanted to hook up more than just your cable/satellite.
Not a good fit for Dell monitors April 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought two of these to mount Dell 2001FP and 2407WFP LCD monitors. On these monitors, the VESA mounting holes are in a square recess left by the monitor stand's mounting plate. While the mounting arm's mounting plate will fit into the recess (barely), the holes do not match up. I had to go to the hardware store and pick up some nylon spacers and longer m4 screws to extend the monitors' mounting holes out so they were flush with the back of the displays.
That specific compatibility issue aside, the arms work well. The cable management is OK for cables that have small connectors, but not for anything larger than a power cable. A DVI connector, for instance, will not fit through the openings. It's not a big deal, though. Strapping the cables to the outside of the arm works just fine, and you can't see it from the front anyway.
Sturdy Mount April 3, 2008 I used the Premier AM2 to mount a Panasonic 26" LCD which is spec'd to weigh 31 pounds. Installation in my workshop was straight forward, as I have exposed 2x4's for shelving. The provided mounting screws can be used if a socket wrench phillips head drive bit is used to drive the screw, although hex head lag screws would be easier. Using a screwdriver would be very difficult. The AM2 mount easily supports the 31 pound TV and repositioning is very smooth with no free play. Friction adjustments of the pivot points and especially the pivot head is very easy. The only concern is the screws that hold the VESA plate to the pivot/tilt head seem small (M4x5 mm), but after two months of use the installation still appears to be sturdy and of high quality.
