5 out of 5 stars Awesome!   September 19, 2008
These are the best earphones that I have ever had! They fit so comfortably that I usually forget that I have them on. They also block out the background noise way better than my old ones. I was amazed at how well these work.

These are nice little earphones. Sound quality is quite good, and the price is right. Well worth buying.

1 out of 5 stars Junk - Went with the jBuds instead   September 17, 2008
My iPod earbuds were wearing out so I purchased these and the Jbuds. Got the Coby first and didn't even get through a single song before I tucked them away (for use in only an EXTREME emergency). The sound was muffled and the highs were simply not there. I put the iPod earbuds back in and all the highs of the song came back. What a difference.

Later when the Jbuds came in I performed the same test. In my opinion the jBuds were even better than the iPod earbuds. Sound was better and the thin membrane surrounding them totally blocked the external sounds of the gym. I found that songs that I had at max volume I could listen to at 75%.

4 out of 5 stars Ok - I guess   September 16, 2008
These are a little better than the ones that come with the little radio. The real problem is Amazon, who pairs these with the radio as a package deal - no way. The radio and the phones are sold and shipped from seperate companies. You pay 2 shipping charges for what you think is 1 order - not nice.

5 out of 5 stars If you only have $6 to spend . . . these are pretty awesome.   September 16, 2008
I have a pair of $340 Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 Pro in-ear monitors that are like these, only much more amazing. But, really, the difference is not as great as I would have expected given the price difference.

I got these just on a whim to see how they compare, and now I keep them as a backup at work or in my bag in case I forget my T-fis, and ya know, they really would be worth it even if they cost five times as much. They fit well, the silicone is pretty much the same as the T-fis and have a very good noise-isolating effect (at moderate volumes you are effectively deaf to the outside world). An ear wrap-over cord would be good to hold them in place better. Bass is pretty good, as is midrange. Highs a little bit muffled, but no more than with any other single-driver $20 earbud.
