5 out of 5 stars no rumble, wireless, light-weight, and slightly bigger.   May 7, 2008
First, let's get the no-rumble fact out of the way. There is no rumble, but you get a lighter-weight controller because there is no rumble motors. I personally preffered not having rumble. So if you are a person who does not like the rumble, you will be happy with the switch. At just a few ounces, this controller seems almost weight-less. It's also slightly bigger which makes for a more comfortable and ergonomic feel. But unless you immediately play your playstation 2, and then Playstation 3, you won't notice the difference in size. It is also wireless, which compared to the PS2 wireless controller, which is smaller than the regular controller, is a godsend! The battery lasts a very long time, which again compared to the PS2 wireless which runs off of a AAA battery, this is a recharge-able. It also has tilt sensors, which is only used in a few games, but is fun when it is used. It is connected by a USB cord, which tangles up not as easily.

3 out of 5 stars Too Light   May 4, 2008
Basically the same controller we've seen from Sony for the last two generations, except wireless and much much lighter. The lack of weight is definitely something I needed to get used to. I am used to the solid feel of the 360 controller. Hopefully the Dual Shock versions solves this issue.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent - No vibration, but no problem!   April 30, 2008
Although it doesn't have vibration feedback (which will actually come soon in a new iteration of the controller), this controller is a natural evolution of the one for PS2. Wireless, tilt-sensors, and the PS button are all welcome additions. Having owning a Wii before the PS3, I kinda got used to the turning off the system with the controller (I don't own the 360, but I believe it has this feature as well), so this was a nice (but necessary) addition. Anyways, the layout is pretty much the same as the PS2, making it as comfortable to use, if not more due to it being a bit lighter, as it was before. Pretty much a necessary component to have for PS3 owners.

5 out of 5 stars ps3 wireless controller review from askbargains.com   April 26, 2008
This 40G PS3 includes one wireless controller (It is very nice, personally, I really hate to have a mass wires everywhere). If you want to play a 2 player game with your friend at same time, you need to buy another wireless controller ( less than $49 in the Amazon).

2 out of 5 stars Too light and no rumble. Six axis is not ready for prime time.   April 24, 2008

This controller seems like it was rushed to production. The sixaxis is not well implemented in the games and the rumble is completely missing because of patent issues which are now resolved. Use it as a cheap extra controller, but definitely get the rumble controller for personal use.
