5 out of 5 stars Just as fun as ever   June 14, 2008
Mario Kart Wii is just as fun as the N64 version. Half of the tracks are new and half are from previous versions, so it's nice to have some you recognize and some that are new. You don't really need the Wii Wheel (I play without it because it's a pain to remove the sleeve every time), but I don't think you can buy the game without it. So try it before buying any additional wheels. If you enjoyed Mario Kart for N64 then you will love this game! Now all we need is a remake of N64's James Bond and we'll be all set.

5 out of 5 stars A great family or individual game!   June 14, 2008

There is a lot of variety with this game that I was not expecting. Playing live worldwide in a multitude of different races is so fun. There are at least 4 different ways to use assorted controllers (or maybe more!) giving each individual the opportunity to use the best outfitted for their habits or being able to try something new and add a new dimension of skill. Controls are very accurate and the whole game has every variety of uniqueness out there. I love seeing all of our created Mii's in the stands at the races or on billboards.

This is the main reason that i bought a Wii in the first place. i have always been a mariokart fan and this game does not disappoint. from the online play to multiplayer (up to 4 people) to the battle modes, it is just great. even when my 7 y/o son isn't playing the game on the Wii, he is outside pretending to play mariokart with his freinds on their bikes.

4 out of 5 stars how i feel about mario kart wii   June 13, 2008
the game is really fun and its a great deal because it comes with the wheel, which makes your gaming experience even funner!

5 out of 5 stars I feel the need to play this game allllllll DAAAAAAAY every day!   June 13, 2008

and it is too bad that I can't! This is the best wii game I've played by far; I'm a little biased because I've been a fan of the mario kart games since the super nintendo. This game takes skill, and the online interface let's you really see if you put out enough effort to measure up with the addicted mario kart freaks across the globe. If you haven't, the time trials provide a peaceful way to work on your technique without all the added randomness of the grand prix. I use the wheel only when playing with friends; that along with the beginner friendly manual mode really helps to even out the skill level. Otherwise, I'm out for blood and I use the nunchuck and wii-mote because it gives me more control. Beware, this game is highly addictive and can ruin your life. I'm comfortable with knowing that I will not be King of the Kart, and that is a good start to a balanced life.
