best graphics of any SF game May 14, 2006 street fighter ex3 has the best graphics of any Street Fighter (SF) game ever produced. The characters are huge (compared to previous SF games). The animations are very fluid and very realistic. Kicks really look like kicks, and punches accurately reflect true martial arts styles. Special moves look beautiful and amazing. The background and camera angles actually change when special moves are executed.
street fighter ex3 is 3d, which means the camera angle can move around during the fight. it doesn't move around so much that it can make you dizzy (or hard to target the enemy). It moves around enough to make it exciting and still interesting.
I spend a lot of time playing this fun game. but the biggest drawback is the challenge. On a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 being hard, this game usually has a difficulty rating of 6. I have to even minimize the damage setting so i don't finish the other guy off in 10 seconds.
the computer doesn't seem to block many attacks. similarly, some characters seem unwilling or unable to attack. most matches are less than a minute. while it may seem exciting to be 1 fighter taking on 3 opponents on simultaneously, or participate in a 2 on 2 tag team match... even on minimum damage setting, you'll be able to finish off the other guys quite quickly.
so, graphics are the best plus, difficulty is worst con. Executing the special moves is also very difficult. I've played this game for hundreds of hours. But I have only executed special moves by luck.
Still, this is a great game. And if you get it used at amazon or somewhere, it definitely is worth the less than $20 price tag that it carries.
OK BUT... January 17, 2005 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
GREAT CHARACTERS,GREAT GRAPHICS,GREAT SPECIAL MOVES,GREAT GAMEPLAY AND GREAT SET OF OPTIONS BUT NOT ENOUGH DEPTH IN THE GAME LIKE-NO STAGE SELECT,FEW AND BORING STAGES NO STORYLINE MOVIE ENDINGS,ONLY 6 STAGES TO FIGHT AND NOT TO BE TO PICKY,NO MILD VIOLENCE(LIKE A LITTLE BLOOD!)KEEPS IT FROM GETTING 5 STARS. BUT CAPCOM VS SNK 2 IS THE LAST GOOD STREET FIGHTER GAME(BESIDES 3RD STRIKE ON THE COLLECTION)TO COME OUT AND THIS IS 100% BETTER THAN THAT GARBAGE FIGHTING EVOLUTION AND IF CAPCOM WANTS TO GET BACK ON TOP IT WOULDN'T HURT TO RELEASE A 3-D RIVAL LIKE CAPCOM VS NAMCO WITH CHARACTERS FROM SOUL CALIBUR AND TEKKEN BUT JUST A SUGGESTION.

The graphics are not spectacular but this is a GREAT, fun, fighting game with lots of variety. The graphics are ok though and when you learn some of the better combos it really becomes addictive. The game was widely over looked and should not have been.
VERY FUN! December 29, 2003 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
SF EX3 is the one fighting game you must have. The graphics are cool. Fighting the other character or teams is challenging. If you beat the game don't stop. Each time you beat it, you get a new character. There are nine hidden characters to earn or unlock. And just so you know, there are two other characters: M. Bison 2 and Evil Ryu. I won't tell you any tips, you should play it if you haven't. Trust me, you'll love it!
