One excellent USB Drive: I love it! November 7, 2007 I love the SDCZ3-2048 AKA Sandisk Cruzer Titanium 2GB.
Mine actually died a few weeks ago but that might have been my fault. I didn't "dismount" or properly stop the drive before removing it and now it doesn't work but I had it for 3 years with no problems. Fortunately I keep good backups and had done one the night prior.
Anyhow, it has a sleek design with its titanium case and laser etched writing on it. The sandisk software that comes with it can be used to secure your data on the drive so if you do lose it the finder can't access the data without certain recovery software.
It works on all my computers either Linux, Mac OS X, Windows and FreeBSD Unix. It's great.
Ignore negative reviews about it because it works fine, just be careful how you dismount it. (e.g., in Windows, click the task tray icon next to the clock to "stop" the device THEN remove it.) That cuts the power (I think) to the device to reduce the risk of damage when removing it.
Enjoy! I missed it so much I bought 2 more on Amazon and 2 off Ebay to replace it.
great bargain July 19, 2007 these used to be close to a hundred dollars. got a great deal from amazon.
the casing is rock solid and it works like it should.
I ran over it with my car January 11, 2007 This Titanium is the best thing EVER...I am a tech and have put this thing through hell and back and it still works.
not worth it January 4, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
had it for a short while, one day i plugged in to my work place's comp and found out i lost all the files. called in and they couldnt do nething about it. had to redo my projects at the last mins. u dont need a titanium neway unless u'r really really really careless and drive over ur flash drive. there are other 1G, 2G, and above flash drives for cheaper price still run just as good.
