1 out of 5 stars Beautiful but F R A G I L E   April 27, 2008

Ok, you're perhaps thinking "How can something made of titanium, and having a crush resistance of +2000 lbs be fragile?"

It isn't physically. But it is highly fragile electrically. I have owned 4 of these stylish drives. It is THE most aesthetically beautiful flash drive ever produced. Each of the 4 I owned, except the first which I purchased, was a replacement from the company. The drive is extremely unstable, and will easily "fry." By that I mean that it will become absolutely useless, as in; won't format, wont be recognized by ANY computer, won't light up the "prettyblueblinkinlight," won't ANYTHING.

I am very careful with all technology, and I always "eject" my flash drives before removing them, even though technically you don't have to according to Microsoft (HAH!). Each of the 4 eventually did this resulting in frustration, and occasionally loss of the most recent changes to un-backed-up data (after all you can't back up a 4 GB drive each and every time you use it).

I sent the last one (which waited till it was out of warranty before it failed) back to SanDisk with a note about the new Dane I purchased to replace it. The Dane was far less expensive, almost as stylish, and far more stable. I have had it for some time now with no problems.

No more SanDisk products for me AT ALL, EVER!

Perfect size. Once you fill up this memory stick, you can burn a DVD to store the data.

5 out of 5 stars Sandisk 4GB Cruzer Titanium -- very versatile unit   April 24, 2008

I use my SanDisk Cruzer Titanium flash drive with both my computer and my Yamaha DGX-620. I have used it with my computer as a Readyboost drive for my Vista based system.

I currently use it as an input device on my Yamaha DGX-620. I have many midi and XG music files on my Cruzer, and play them on my keyboard.

If you have the money for one, and don't tell me you don't, I highly recommend buying one of these beauties.

5 out of 5 stars Cruzer Titanium 4GB....so far, so good   April 17, 2008

So far, my experience with this drive has been pretty good. I'd read about the hassles and problems created by the notorious U3 program, so I uninstalled it from the get-go. The drive has worked flawlessly since. It is fast (for a flash drive), has plenty of storage space, and seems quite durable. You can also use it for ReadyBoost if you have Vista. In case anyone was wondering, this doesn't come with a lanyard, so you'll have to provide one yourself.

1 out of 5 stars Disappointed   April 17, 2008

The SanDisk 4 GB Cruzer Titanium I received is a disappointing flop. The product did not easily fit in any USB port, going in only by force or accident. The thumb drive catch broke and no longer holds the case back, allowing the case to slide forward and block the USB port. Additionally, the thing constantly caused computer hang-ups. Finally, after all the above frustrations, it managed to jam itself and will not accept or download data. I would have returned it, but I may be partly at fault by becoming impatient with trying to get it into a USB port. I will continue searching for a flash drive that is better machined to fit the ports it is designed to fit.
