| Customer Reviews:
one of many usb keys May 12, 2008 I have a bunch of sandisk 1 Gb. usb keys as well as 128 Mb and 512 Mb. keys. This Kingston is the most expensive of them I've seen or used . The warranty of 5 years was the clincher considering the others only had a 2 year warranty. Also , it was only 75 pepsi points for the 2 Gb. and 50 for the 1 Gb. ... a steal if you ask me . My other usb keys would've cost the exact same price as the two Gb. kingston key. If I hadn't had a relative working at the store that recieved a 20% discount combined with a 50% off manifacturer's coupon(translates to five bucks each for u3 enabled 1 Gb. usb keys) I would've never have purchased them . I woud've spent more in gas money going to the store to purchase the kingstons than Amazon charges in price + shipping if I hadn't used pepsi points . Only thing I can find wrong is lack of description on the site for what material the key is made of . The kingston I recieved is metal where as the sandisk 1 Gb. u3 smartdrives are all plastic ,the non u3 sandisk 1 Gb. drives are metal but with rubber slip on skins , durable but cheesey. P.S. I format and install operating system software for a living and the keys come in very handy for transferring files and saving drivers easily
SUPER EASY FOR ANYONE May 10, 2008 This little gadget is very easy to use. I transfered about 300 pictures from my computer to my Mom's and it went very smooth. Downloaded them very speedy from one to the other. I think a cd is a thing of the past for me with getting pictures to a store for prints. This little guy is the ticket. Fits easily into a pocket and unlike cd's it does not have a bulky case and the worry of getting scratched. Get it and you will love it!!
GREAT PRODUCT, GOOD STORAGE CAPACITY April 27, 2008 I have several of these drives and they work great. No need to initialize, works with my MACS right out of the package. Lots of capacity.
flash drive April 26, 2008 I think the Kingston Data Traveler 1 gb usb flash drive is great, have not had any problems. I would buy another one in a heartbeat if I needed to.
a blessing April 21, 2008 I used to save everything to floppy disk. Now, with most of these new computers coming out with no A: drives, I was starting to feel 'slighted'. Then I discover the usb flash drive at a church meeting and they were using one to put the treasurer's report on so she could 'pop' it into the pastor's laptop to display them. I was told they are replacing the 'floppys'. when I found out what you can store on 1 disk I was thrilled! My first was a 512MB one. I have stored 3 or 4 photo albums, 1 folder of my 'writings', and probaly about 9 songs on it--AND I STILL HAVENT USED UP HALF OF IT! Now I have this 1GB that I still havent used yet. THEY ARE TRULY A MIRACLE OF SCIENCE!-- (SO TINY YET SO MUCH MEMORY!)
