5 out of 5 stars Great mobility; ease of use   March 22, 2007

I've only used this device a couple of times, but I've been able to put over a hundred hi-res pictures on it. I can take them anywhere with me. XP sees the device automatically. It operates just as its description says. I'll be interested to see how it holds up over use/time.

The five year warranty for a USB drive is a great return on investment.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent and versatile   March 20, 2007

I bought one, and found it was fantastic not just for moving files between computers, but as a day-to-day back-up repository --far easier than burning a new CD every day. So I just went back and bought a second for my wife, who now does the same thing. I don't measure time in microseconds, so I have no complaints about the speed; it's entirely fast enough for me. For the price and convenience, I can't see how you could beat it.

I was a little nervous when I ordered the 2 GB Kingston Data Traveler. I didn't have much experience with flash drives, other than the more expensive name brand I had bought previously (from a brick-and-mortar store) turned out to be a piece of junk. After reading the reviews, I decided that I would try it, especially because of the low price, and bought two-one for me and one for my boyfriend. As it turns out, I didn't need the hesitation at all. The flash drive worked with no effort on my part and transferred files quickly and efficiently between my old Windows-based laptop (which is almost five years old now and practically outdated) and my newer PowerBook (about a year old). I've had no problems with with the drive in the months I've had it and it always works perfectly. As a small plus, the colors are bright and stand out, even on my usually-messy desk. I highly recommend this product!
