This does a good job for what I'm using it for: storing my digital photos. Just wanted to free up some space on my laptop. It is compatible with 1.1 for those who may be wondering, because my USB is 1.1 not 2.0. I've also not had a problem with the computer reading it, or wanting to work with it. Not too OS savvy, so I don't know if XP is the reason it reads easy or not. I would think it should work well with any OS. Reading some of the other reviews, apparently it does.

To be honest, I originally bought this item to try and find a pen drive that wouldn't cause my computer to crash like all of the other drives I've used in the past. Unfortunately, it still makes my PC crash when I pull the device from my USB, but I still liked how it transferred data off and on computers quickly.
Compared to other drives I've seen with similar storage space, this was a real steal for only $29.99, and came in a nice compact shape for easy travel. The item was a real value; a plus for someone in college that needed it right away for large file transfers the coming semester.
I gave it a test right out of the package putting some 800 varied files on it to see how fast the transfer between PCs would be, and it passed with flying colours. Everything arrived in the same shape, and transferred off the device faster than it went on.
All and all, a good buy.
Great Buy January 1, 2008
This is a wonderful product. I use it to back up files from my lap top and to transport other files between computers. Plenty of storage space. Have used it for pictures and music as well without problems.

This is 4GB of traveling bliss. I'm a college student and this will keep pretty much everything from my courses. If you're looking for an affordable mass storage drive, you will not be disappointed with this.
