5 out of 5 stars Great compact package, lots of memory   June 18, 2008
I am very pleased with the small size and retractable connector on this unit, especially given the large capacity and low price. It works as it's supposed to and I use it on Macs with no problems.

Recommended if you need the capacity!

5 out of 5 stars Best flash drive I've had so far   June 16, 2008
I bought this flash drive as a replacement for my 2-gig SanDisk Cruzer that decided to stop working (every file transfered to that drive for the past 6 months has been corrupted) and couldn't be happier. This 4-gig Kingston drive is MUCH faster than the SanDisk, and I love the sliding USB connector (no cap to loose). It didn't come with a lanyard, but there is a spot to add one if you like; mine just goes in my pocket. Overall, this drive is exactly what I was looking for and would recommend it to anyone.

What can you say, works great, you may find people though sitting there with it and pushing the connector in and out (the same people who click pens I think), but it works great, is slim enough to double up with another flash drive on laptop paired USB outlets (not a slot hog).Would have been nice though if a lanyard was provided (I used an old one I had)since there is a slot for one. Good experience with Kingston Warranty also on an earlier less expensive drive (500MB) that went south on me. No questions asked and quickly replaced.

4 out of 5 stars perfomance, elegant   May 25, 2008

I bought this product some days ago, and I made some tests on it, and it works fast, I copied a 1.1gb file in 1'51" (one minute and fifty one seconds)..
The usb recognition was clean and fast..it's named as Datatraveler 2.0

You can see a perfomance test picture I took, on the product images..
The black color is excellent, very elegant..
Just push the button to show up or to hide the usb connector..

1 out of 5 stars Bad stuff: original + replacement didn't work   May 20, 2008

I bought this DT100 4GB; my machine didn't recognize it. Sought Kingston's input; they said it was defective. (I also purchased a Kingston DT1 with this order which did work + I already owned a Memorex Traveldrive 1GB which also works). So since Amazon wouldn't exchange I asked for a replacement. The replacement also doesn't work; Kingston suggested I plug it into the rear of the computer or try the drive on another computer neither of which I want to do. So I've returned the DT100 for a refund. I wouldn't recommend this product.
