Gift September 3, 2008 I bought this item for my sister's b-day. She says it's great, perfect for use in places that are hard to get the right angle with the camera. Likes the ability for it to wrap around odd shaped objects.
Excellent for DSLR September 2, 2008 I have purchased this product with the Bogen-Manfrotto 484RC2 Mini Ball Head. I have used the tripod with a Canon 40D with a 70-200f4 USM IS lens which it can hang on to fine. I was worried about wrapping it around things to hold the camera, but its proved to be fine. I will note though, with the 70-200 its better using a lens collar than just mounting to the tripod under the camera - more stable. Great little tripod for what it is designed to do!
Gorillapod Review August 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My Gorillapod arrived in excellent condition, packaged well and it is one product that does work as advertised. My only complaint or question is just what does "Ethically made in China" means? Does it mean that it didn't put Americans out of work or take an American job to make it in a communist country with no human rights? If you want to sell it in American make in the USA so Americans can afford to feed their children
Super Fast Shipping! Item was BRAND new as described August 28, 2008 Super Fast Shipping! Item was BRAND new as described. This Joby tripod is a HIT!! People were asking where I purchased it from and is a necessity for those with point & shoot cameras!! thanks again
Very Useful When Yuo don't Have an Assistant August 27, 2008 Obviously this is not a professional photogrpaher's tool, but it could easily be used by a pro. I found this device to be a very convenient tool when taking photos in odd places. It can grip onto practically anything that you can bend its arms around. The attachements are a nice-to-have feature as well. In general this product is useful when a stadard size tripod is just too large (or positions the camera too high).
