5 out of 5 stars Amazing in every way!   May 26, 2008

I actually bought this for my wife as a Mother's Day present to replace our nearly 10-year-old Gateway, which was beginning to crash several times a day. As I have used it nearly as much as she has, however :O), I think I can provide a credible review.

In a word, it's perfect. The display is absolutely gorgeous, and the all-in-one design is sleek and sexy. It does everything a computer should do. My wife was able to set it up in a snap, and it had no problems picking up and connecting to our wireless internet. I was able to upload all of our personal files with a flash drive without any problem. It's very fast for web browsing. The streamlined keyboard is both a pleasure to use and look at. In my opinion, apples are worth every last penny you spend on them and so much more fun to buy, own, and play with than PCs. They are pricier, of course, but totally worth it. If you've never tried one, you should. They're the bomb.

5 out of 5 stars I love my mac!   May 23, 2008

I bought my first mac a few years ago. It was a used "smurf" desktop (the blue and white G3 model). I bought it for $300 to replace a virus-infested PC. It was the beginning of my love affair with mac.

Mac computers do not compare to PC's. My mac never crashed. I never got a virus. My mac was speedy and had a friendly interface. I was hooked. The following year I bought a new emac. I decided that I would buy the two-year warranty as a precaution. It was only $150 more. My emac worked great for about a year and then I started experiencing slowness and frequent crashes. I searched online to learn that a series of emac models had a logic board issue. Since I was under warranty, I took it to the mac store. They said there was a wait and it would take at least a couple of weeks to fix. I was under deadline and needed my computer. I called Mac customer service and spoke to an expert in customer service. It was a wonderful feeling to have that after dealing with so many awful customer service reps. He told me that I could rent a mac for those two weeks and they would reimburse me the cost of the rental. I did.

A couple of weeks past, I called back and they said that the logic board were backordered. They said it would take weeks. They asked me if I would accept a brand new imac in place of the emac. I was flabbergasted. Of course! The next day I went to my local mac store and there it was.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this computer. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the customer service I received. In my entire life, I had never received such impeccable assistance from a manufacturer of a product.

Now, when I walk into a mac story, I'm like a child in a candy shop. Owning a computer was never this fun!

5 out of 5 stars Perfect.   May 20, 2008

I got my mac almost a year ago and it is probably the greatest computer i've ever used.
If you own a PC now, i HIGHLY recommend splurging on this computer. It is worth every single penny.
I've always used PCs until i got this mac, and i will never ever own a PC again. This computer is much faster, cleaner, easier, and just.. better all around. There are so many more features you can enjoy on this computer and you will rarely ever get viruses. If you're looking to get this computer, just get it. You'll be so happy you did.

5 out of 5 stars My eighth Mac over twenty years and amazing!   May 17, 2008
This is a great new Mac. Very quiet. Very fast (I recommend buying a 2 gigabyte RAM chip to put in the extra slot. I did a Photoshop bench test before I installed the RAM and after and the speed increase was tremendous). The new OS is great.

5 out of 5 stars First Time Mac User Loves It   May 16, 2008

I recently got rid of 4 home based PCs and replaced it with 1 iMac. The management of users on one PC is done very seamlessly and our children picked it up quite easily (ages 6 & 4).

I would recommend this to anyone, just bear in mind that things are generally easier on the Mac. So if something seems hard at first, take a step back and use it's help (which is written very well).

Kudos Apple!
