Is it Sandisk or is it Amazon? August 27, 2008 Hi, I purchased this Fuze player because I got tired of my old Creative Muvo. I gotta say, this is one pretty amazing player. But the player Amazon sent me was not because I noticed immediately when I turned it on, it has tons of tiny glitter-like dots on the screen. I started to seek help wondering if this is normal. I later found out that the sides of the screen were not fully closed and caused some dust to get into the screen. I had the return this for another Fuze but found it had the exact same problem. I don't think I'll be getting another one of these. Pro: Good quality music Easy navigation Great blue ring around the wheel Light-weight Con: Wheel does not respond sometimes Bugs in micro SD card slots where the computer doesn't recognize the card when it was already inside the Fuze Bad quality, TWICE
Anyway, if it isn't for the dust in the screen, I would have probably kept this player.
Very nice August 24, 2008 This is a very nice mp3 player. Nothing to envy the ipod nano and not that expensive. I like the fact that you can use SD micro to get more space for music.
Sansa Fuze 4GB August 22, 2008 Absolutely love it! I was somewhat apprehensive about not buying an iPod because I wanted a solid, high performance MP3 player and thought maybe I was taking a chance. Not the case - for half the price of the iPod, I got something better. The fidelity is incredible. The Fuze is extremely easy to use and import songs, albums, pictures, videos and audio books. The built-in FM receiver works as well as the one in my car. The sound recorder is a nice feature, too. The Fuze is attractive and easy on the eye with a large enough screen for viewing while still keeping the overall size small enough to fit easily in your jean's pocket. The micro-SD slot is great too for adding additional memory without having to replace the whole MP3 player. I got the external power kit which includes a wall and a car charger - highly recommended otherwise you are tied to the PC for charging.
Good value, navagating the menus takes some getting used to. August 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Overall I am very happy with this product. I shopped dozens of players and decided on this one for a few reasons, first was the price and the size of the memory. Second was the way that this particular model seemlessly integrates with the "Rhapsody to go" service preventing me from spending hundreds of dollars a year on buying songs. The Rhapsody to go service allows you to download an unlimited number of songs and as long as your account is current those songs remain on your MP3 player. For $14.95 a month I have unlimited downloads, thats currently the best deal on the market. Not all MP3 players will work with this service buy I figure that in my case the player will be free with the money that I save and my break even point will be +/- 4 months. The third factor that I like about this player is that it has a built in FM tuner as well as a built in rechargeable battery. The only thing I would like to change is the proprietary cable and would replace it with a standard USB cable. Navagating the menu's does take a little getting used to as my previous player was a basic no frills model but I feel that it will be second nature in a short time. In my opinion this one is "the one" to buy and the fact that I can upgrade the size of the memory is an added bonus.
Love the Sansa brand, but I had trouble with this model. July 29, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have and older Sansa MP3/Video player and it has performed very well. I was unable to upload pictures and videos onto the Fuze, I don't know if it was the unit or my computer but the older model worked fine with my PC. Had to send the Fuze back. Wish it would have worked, I really like the new styling of the Fuze.
