I have been a loyal Quicken user since 1996. When I first graduated from college, I had trouble balancing my checkbook. After hearing about Quicken, I quickly set up the software, balanced my checkbook and begin recording where all my expenses were going. I've gone through the upgrades through the years, and each time the software just got better and better. As my financial management needs increased, I found that Quicken provided everything that I was looking for. From reports, graphs, investment performance, goal tracking and budget creation, it was all there at my fingertips. And the online updates for transactions just saves all the time in the world and removes human error. I never hesitate to highly recommend Quicken to friends and family!

I've been a devoted Quicken user since 1991. There is absolutely no positive reason to buy this new version. The improvements are cosmetic or even negative. For example, the automatic fill-in of categories is mindless .... a check from a class action lawsuit settlement is automatically categorized as "education." If you use `tabs" there will be insufficient space to fully read the categories you are using. The prior versions are all that anyone needs - except that Intuit will sabotage their effectiveness through "sunsetting" - taking away product support and even the ability to download account information. It is a shame that Intuit has to destroy the viability of good versions in order to induce sales of a new version that has nothing meaningfully better to offer.

I purchased the upgrade for my old Quicken. I can always trust Intuit to keep track of the mundane so that all of the information is readily available when needed. I've started attaching receipts, warranties, etc., to my entries so that all of this information is readily available as well. The transition from the old quicken to the new quicken is seamless. I wouldn't be without it!

Quicken continues to deliver a quality product. I have used both Quicken and MS Money over the years, and always go back to Quicken. They have a very clean interface and good help features if you get stuck. The only thing I do not like is Intuits insistence on adding extra icons to my desktop to sell you checks and other services. This is irritating and should be an option during installation. Other than this, I am happy with it. Doesn't seem as bloated as MS Money. Good buy at around $40.00.
