Slow Slow Slow June 10, 2008 Our business had to upgrade (the term upgrade is a joke) form 2005 Pro to 2008 Pro multiuser. Now Backup takes twice as long. The term multiuser is also a joke. When two of us try to enter things we get long wait times. We don't like the look of the new format. Customer service is terrible. We were much happier with 2005 version. We hate that Quickbooks makes you up grade ever 3 years. All they care about is money.
Quickbooks Pro 2008 3 user version May 30, 2008 I have been using quickbooks for a few years now but needed to make the move to the 3 user version. We just hired a office assistant who is going to doing some of the inputting for me. I'm really impressed with how easy it is to install & use as multi-users. It really gives our small business a big business type of software. I would highly recommend it to any small business owner.
Not Ready for Prime Time May 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Too many glitches in this software. It shuts itself down often and wants to send error reports. Too many windows, too much information on one screen. Loads slow and works slow. Overall very clumsy to use.
An "Update" With Little New - But More Fees May 10, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a product that is really ripe for a competitor to destroy with better features and integration with online banking. It is especially irksome to have to manually download on-line banking data or else pay Intuit for the privilege of "one-click" downloads. Same situation for better email integration; or for payroll features. The feature list shows "sync with Outlook contacts" but you actually have to pay for an optional package to do that as well.
Another pet peeve is the seemingly incessant "Learn About Services" advertisements from Intuit and their partners. I paid for accounting software, not for continuous pop-ups and on-going "reminders" to purchase more software and services.
I use QuickBooks daily and it's OK, but Intuit's price and add-on policies I hate. I hope someone soon offers a better accounting package for my business. Google, are you listening?
3 User fits perfectly May 9, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have used QuickBooks Pro for the past 8 years now. Through different versions and upgrades. I think that they just keep getting better. Sure it isn't a 10K accounting package. I really like the 3 'concurrent' user option this update. We had the five user version 2005 and we didn't need the extra two users.
