Quickbooks 2008 October 16, 2007 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Each year I wonder how Intuit can make Quickbooks even better and every year they do. 2008 works well with Outlook which many people will love.
I think a new user will find the interview process easy to set up their business. Old users will like the increased speed this version seems to have when running reports.
I would upgrade to this version or buy Quickbooks over other accounting software.
The best Quickbooks so far ! October 16, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am pleased with the ease of use of QuickBooks! As a non-accountant, I was hesitant to even try to use this software. I became a beta tester for this version (Premier 2008)and now I depend on it. This software is very easy to use and each step is logical in it's flow. It did take some getting used to but it did not take long. It also has some GREAT Learning Center Tutorials and help. I would recommend this product to anyone. It is just a fantastic product !!
QB 2008 Premier - Pro Services Edition October 16, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Based on the beta testing, Intuit has improved QB again! The nicest feature for me is the new invoice creation tasks. You are now able to create an invoice from billable time w/o creating the invoice and selecting each individual time line. You can now select ranges prior to the creation. Kudos.
The downside for me (but a small one) - Same old UI. I wish it had a more quicken like interface and direct connections to the banks. Yes, I know they can download transactions, but the transactions still go through a 3rd party I believe and they don't show up on the bank's web site immediately.
Each year I say the same thing. October 15, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Each year I say the same thing but each year Intuit surpises me again. I keep thinking they can't possibly come up with anything better than the one they have made this time, although they just keep adding more improvements each year. I think one of my favorites for this years is the intergration with Outlook. If they are going to keep adding new things each year I am just looking forward to the next years improvements.
Quickbooks Premier 2008 has been great to work with so far and I am looking forward to continuing to test the different new features as well as continuing to use the features that have come along since I first started using Quickbooks back in 1991 on a completely DOS computer and to access the Quickbooks program you had to type QB at the c: prompt. At first I only upgraded every two or three years but since 2004 I have been getting upgrades yearly and loving it.
I recommend this program to anyone who needs to keep books for any size company, I even use it to do my personal bookkeeping on as it is so easy to set up the program. If you haven't tried it before try it today, it is free to try, what can you loose.
Easy enough for small business owners - Beta Tester Review October 15, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Quickbooks 2008 Premier is simple enough for me to manage my small business S-Corp on a daily basis yet it is packed with an extensive help system and other features (including online banking) that have made me seriously consider dropping my accountant. This software will pay for itself in the long run.
I am also a Mac user and bought VMWare Fusion just to run this app. The Windows version of Quickbooks is much more developed than the Mac version. It's the only reason I still run Windows. It also ran fine with the trial version of Parallels.
