word vs pages December 28, 2007 I use word since as a MAC owner I get a good number of messages from PC users, and using word is quicker than using a decoder such as MacLink

I was disappointed with MAC's iNotes (or whatever their word processor is called) because I write a lot. So I bought WORD for MAC and it is just as good as what I have on my PC. It is so much more powerful than the iNotes.
SO FRUSTRATING! August 6, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I give this product a big fat D minus! It is so slow and clunky, that It's hard to believe! Where shall I begin? I've been creating tables of six columns, each has some text in it. It is NOT POSSIBLE to lock the column widths, so that during the writing and edit process, the columns are not accidently resized, which happens a lot, because of the inaccuracy of the program.
Secondly, it's SO unbeliveably slow. I can type faster than the application can put the characters on the screen. It doesn't even smoothly scroll, which is a nuisance. And, I'm using a computer that plays full frame high definition video for editing without a problem, so I know it's not that. (These problems happened on two seperate machines.)
There are LOTS of bugs that don't make sense. Several times, I've gotten automatic page breaks, which become embedded in the text, and the only way to remove them, is to unformat the text in a clean document, then re-import it.
Oh yeah, it crashes A LOT.
99% of the features make no sense, and are not intuitive. They are hard to set up and use properly, and usually makes a big mess of everything.
Did I mention that it's SLOW and crashes a lot?
Microsoft "Word" for MAC April 13, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent software product for MAC OS. Just as good or better than the Windows program.
Very good! March 14, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Although the installation process is a bit slow, I have no complaints about Word for Mac. Runs swiftly on my black Mac Book. Besides, there is no other word processor that I know of, compatible for both Mac and Windows.
