good game, cheap ending May 24, 2008 this is a good game even though it has a cheap/bad ending. the game does have good graphics, good story line (besides ending)and a person from the sixth game, i wont spoil who it is. the ending is the only bad part about it. I still recommend this game.
My first game and it was a doozy! March 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have never played this type of game before so I was completely overwhelmed by it. Now I'm glad to find out this game was more full of puzzles then most Nancy Drew's. Whew, and I just thought it was me. These games are tough and boy you better keep notes! I needed a walkthrough for sure! It was not just to get through the game but also to get an understanding of how these type of games work. Thank goodness for the second chances! While the game is very challenging and fun, it is not a good game to cut your teeth on. Save this one until you have more experience.
Pleasantly Surprised December 18, 2007 I have never played a game like this before so I'm not sure how it would rate compared to other such games, hence the 4 stars. However, I've really enjoyed playing it and would buy more in this series.
One of my favorite Nancy Drew Games! December 12, 2007 The Curse of Blackmoor Manor has been one of my favorite Nancy Drew Games so far. This one is definitely worth the money to buy, and I've played it multiple times! The game play is quite long, and very interesting. The researching and activities are fun and it's still a very challenging game.
Surprising October 15, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
At first, when I read the reviews, I scoffed at the fact that some found it so scary. Until I actually played it. Things were great when I was in the light, with my little cousin and sister playing with me. But then I got sick, and they all went out to dinner. So, I decided to play CoBM. Bad idea! I got to the part where you wake up and see the paintings moving around, then go to the window and see the beast.
Terrified, I shut the game off and ran into my room. I never played it alone after that. But I did like the challenge of it. I had an awful time trying to figure out how to get under the well. A walkthrough helped with that. I also liked the ending, since you end up having to save the culprit.
A good game if you're thirteen like me and playing with the light on. And have family members around.
