5 out of 5 stars Excellent product   March 21, 2008

For me, this is an excellent product. It installed without a problem and is intuitive to use. I love that it opens a script to exactly the paragraph I left off when closing it. Another huge plus is its ability to read aloud the dialog. This helps pick up typos and poor phrasing.

2 out of 5 stars Mac users beware   February 23, 2008

I noticed "Designed for Windows" printed on the box as I was opening it. Wish I would have seen this on the product page before buying it. You open the program on a Mac and it looks like you're using a PC. No keyboard shortcuts for things like adding a scene index card, so you have to keep going up and using the pull-down menu. When I tried to rearrange my scene cards, the card to be shuffled turned into a blank card, for some reason. Maybe if I hadn't spent $170 bucks for this, it wouldn't have been so bad. Mac users, I advise you to steer clear of this and try Montage or Movie Magic Screenwriter.

5 out of 5 stars Works great, no complaints   February 13, 2008

I got this product free in an Emmy goodie bag. I'm not a professional writer, but I have a lot of ideas and wanted to write them down. So this came along and I started using it. I've not experienced one bug or crash. I've used almost all features of the software and it works great. I'm using it under Windows XP... to all those with crashes and bugs, maybe it's your Mac! :)
I would recommend this to anyone.

5 out of 5 stars Best Thing Ever   January 25, 2008

Final Draft 7 professional is a great screenwriting software. Before I purchased mine, I had the privillege to use a friends'. Having asked around what would be ideal amongst the numerous screenwriting softwares my professor in school gave me an orientation of Final Draft 7 professional. It is "Simply The Best, Better Than The Rest;"...Tina Turner.
I decided to purchase mine now for use soon as I purchase a Mac computer by February ending. I have a PC at present but I need to embrace the Mac for all it has to offer. I will bet my money on this product for its' utmost satisfaction!!!

Sincerely,
Ifeanyi Paul Nwokedi

2 out of 5 stars Doesn't Work Well With Vista   December 18, 2007

I've had both Final Draft 5 & 6, but just bought a brand new laptop, so I figured I should probably upgrade. Bad idea...
Long story short, I ended up uninstalling it and sending it back. For some reason, 6 works better.
Oh, and forget about using Collabowriter on 7. I was told by their own tech people this is never going to work because of new security features built into the new operating systems.
