Simple Fun for All August 19, 2008 This is one of my favorite games of all time! Pros: No fighting over counting money issues The computer has several levels of competiveness. Easy altering of "house rules" without cheating.
Cons: The computer does not always make logical choices in strategy
All in all, a very enjoyable game.
Very Stable Game August 8, 2008 I purchased the game for my wife. She has over 30 hours of game play with this product without a single crash or bug. It appears to be very stable on XP. Excellent price and shipping from Amazon. Graphics are very nice.
The same old game July 14, 2008 The latest(Vista) rendition of Monopoly is the best yet. It is far less graphically splendid than the last version, but those graphics took an immense amount of time. This one merely shows the dice and token travel, and even that is shortened by a mouse movement. The game is fast, the program is much smarter, and you can only beat if consistently if you learn its weaknesses(which I won't tell you, sorry). Whereas the 1st version(for DOS) was beatable every time in minutes, this version, like XP, can be a 50/50 proposition IF you play multi-player; if just mano a mano, once you learn its achilles heel, the challenge is over...
Great Game May 31, 2008 This keeps you entertain and it is like playing the actual Monopoly. The only thing is that once you land on a property you have to buy, if you choose not to you have to bid. Why can't you just pass and move along?
Otherwise great fun
Efficient and Fun for One Player April 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Monoply was one of my favorite board games growing up - but it had two problems that technology has been able to fix - 1) The game took a long time to play (mainly because exchanging money was time consuming) 2) It was not a very practical game to play alone. The software version solves both of these issues. All property names and cards are the same as in the original. Although, I don't think the software version would be that easy to play in a group.
