I wasn't sure what to think after reading all of the reviews here on Amazon. Half are positive, half are negative. But when I finally received my game (ordered somewhere else) my experience was half-n-half also! The game was quite frustrating to install, as it kept asking me to install something that my dad and I couldn't figure out. But once it WAS installed correctly I had loads of fun. It's great to be able to have your own virtual pets to dress, feed, play with, and care for. A real puppy is probably even more enjoyable, but this game is wonderful if you can't have one. The new play scenes, like the Wild West and Gypsy Circus, are ok, but I personally like the regular kitchen, family room, and backyard better. You can also create your own playscenes using your own pictures. The Playscene Editor actually was very easy to use, telling you exactly what you needed to do to create the playscene. There is a wide variety of great toyz and accesories to use, and 10 breedz to choose from. (As well as a pig!) The voice rcognition works ok, but I haven't experimented too much with that. A big excitement that comes with this game is the ability to breed your dogz! It's usually pretty easy to make your petz fall in love (the Help section of the game gives you tips), and in a few days (not even a week) you have a beautiful new puppy that Mommy carries around with her! I love watching the pupz grow up. I would definitely recommend this game. Oh, but you won't want to buy it if you don't have much hard drive space because it requires a whopping 300 MB. :( As long as you've got the GIG, you should have the game!

I got Dogz 3 about 2 years ago and I was instantly hooked, I plaed it almost every day and created a couple fansites. Now Im 14 and in highschool I gave up petz 3 long ago. I gave away the CD and deleted all my petz related stuff off the computer. I recently got dogz 4 for christmas, It's a fun game and the dogz are hilarious to play with, but its isnt much different from dogz 3. I havnt tryed the voice recignition thing yet but i hear it doesnt work very well. ...
its fun to do and everything but petz does get boring fast. Its a wonderful game for younger kids though.

My friend gave this game to me and now on i play it. No more bugging my brothers sisters and my mom and dad to play with me i just hop on to a computer and play . This game allows you to dress your dogs up i many outfits and play with then with a furity and toys. You can to about ten different backrounds like the kitchen the backyard where you can actually plant flowers and i the kitchen you can open a cupboard and feed your fish and you can open the refrigorater i love making my own backrounds and i absolutely love getting my dogz get dressed up the can also get pregneet and have babies there is about 20 kinds of dog to pick out of so buy this item IT"S GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its the best! Ya can do sooooo much stuff. I could do it for hours! It can teach kids great responsibility (not Spelling though.)and it is even good for adults who live in apartments and want a dog. If ya like this game you might also enjoy babyz the game.

This is a great game for any one ages 6- 99. you can have fun training your dogz to do trickz. Also breeding them when they get older. You can decided to paint your dogz with the paint bucket or they can come natrual. I would give this game 2 pawz up!
