Humm, not like 7 though January 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
To make it brief for those who have earlier versions, in my case Imagedrive crashes (it never did on the same computer with 7 or 6), Nerovision, got a bit complicated and buttons you cant relink. As of the Burning Rom, samo samo. I really dont see any advantage of spending the money on this upgrade.
inefficient and slow January 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I tried Nero 8 after using Nero 3. I thought it would be faster. I was wrong. I think you need a huge amount of memory and incredibly fast cpu speed for making one dvd to take less than five hours. Simply opening my project takes about half and hour.
Fairly January 8, 2008 I think the software works good but, have a good idea on what You want to do, and the requirements are important. I used to use Nero 7 Premium, its requirements are less than 8's are. You should have a processor that can handle it.

This product has proven to be just what I expected. I have only used it a couple of times, but I am extremely satisfied with it.
Total Failure January 5, 2008 20 out of 22 found this review helpful
I'd rate this product zero stars if this review system would let me. I have used Nero over the years in its many versions. Nero 8 is just no good! I installed the CD on a new computer that had never had Nero on it. I then clicked on the updater and was told that every aspect of the program needed updating - 175 Mb. This is a big problem for people like me on dialup. I told it to go ahead with their "automatic" process. It stopped twice to get clearance from me to alter Windows firewall settings, stopped again after rebooting itself to wait for me to re-establish an internet connection, and then locked up the entire computer while displaying "checking machine." I restarted the whole process. After 12 hours of updating, it finished. I tried the program. No matter which process I tried to start, I got a message from Windows that there was an error and the program had to be shut down. I restored my computer to its pre-Nero state, and so it shall remain.
