Unusable on Macs May 29, 2006 The Mac version of this program is TERRIBLE. It takes 3-10 seconds for each keystroke or command to appear on the screen, and I have a fast dual-processor G4 PowerMac. I'm amazed that this thing made it to the shelves in its current condition. And this is even AFTER applying the patch that's supposed to correct the slowness. I've been seeing reports this all over the net - dont buy this for Mac, as it's just about unusable.
Can't transfer license from Windows to Mac April 24, 2006 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I recently switched Windows to Mac. Since Dreamweaver includes both versions, I thought I could deactivate my Windows machine, and install it on the Mac. After calling their customer service department twice, I was told that this is not possible. Once you activate the product on one platform, you have to buy it again if you want to use it on a different platform.
I might be willing to pay for an upgrade if they were offering a Universal Binary, but currently they are not. They might even view Intel Mac's as a different plaform the Power PC Mac's and try to charge me again if they release an Intel version.
Because their licensing is such a pain, I would not recommend this product to anyone.
Learning HTML - New User Notes March 30, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
About a year or so ago, I purchased Studio MX. I've been using computers for a long time and this is by far the best software I ever purchased. Relatively easy to teach yourself how to build or edit websites and blogs.
the price? whoa. a brand new DW8 is only $399 March 7, 2006 sorry, buddy. Is this Dreamweaver (per your category) or the Studio? DW8 brand new is only $399 straight from Adobe/Macromedia.
Get a clue!
Everything you need for creating web sites September 23, 2005 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've used several web authoring tools out there and mainly create my pages directly from code but Dreamweaver has got me hooked. It is easy to use and has many of the built in features to present a dynamic web page including ftp capabilities.
