This is definitely the best RTS game around. Unlike all other RTS', this game provides you with 3 different races-and i mean DIFFERENT. Most RTS' provide many races, but all the units are basically the same-ie) in Warcraft 2, the orcs had grunts and the humans and footmen-they are the same in concerns with stats. However, Starcraft provides 3 different races that specialize in different things. You can also play on a multiplayer network called battle.net, with up to 8 people at one game. There are countless strategies that can be employed because all the races are so diversed-this game is definitely the best in the market. I hope you enjoy it

The reason starcraft is so cool is that if you are the only one playing and you want to play against real people instead of computers you can go to battle net. The game itself is one of the best multiplayer games. It sounds so cool when you put twelve siege tanks into siege mode all at the same time, and when you blow up zerg zerglings with a siege tank it looks SO cool.

all though starcraft is a great game, it has been out a long time and the price of the battle chest is still high. The best game for the best price by far is still rainbow 6. You get the original game plus the expansion levels and a strategy guide for only $20 and it was rated game of the year by more than 15 different web sites and magizines.

im a big fan of total annihilation and ive only made it through a few levels of starcraft so far but it seems to be allmost right up there with it so far! the gameplay and graphics are great although the unit commands are slightly more comlpicated. im looking forward to what seems to be so far, a great game.

I don't understand why this package sells for $5 less than Starcraft alone, but if you are going to buy Starcraft, you'd be a fool not to go for the Battle Chest. You get the full original game, the expansion set, and two strategy guides for less than the price of the original game alone! Go for it!
