I've been playing the game for almost 2 months now and the game is amazingly addicting. Make sure your willing to lose sleep, but it is extremely an exciting game. The visualization of the game is stunning and Blizzard again has hit a home run with this title. You can use your credit to pre-order through the game itself monthly, 3 months, etc. Blizzard will give a discount on depending how much you pay up front. Amazon has a very competitive price for the 2-month game card, which makes it the best option. Make sure if your doing the Super Saver free shipping that you order 2 weeks or so in advance. I find that Amazon will have like a delay of one week before it even ships out. The price is worth if you do it in advance.
The reason for 4 stars is that Blizzard needs to work on some of the Realm's performance issues. Some realms are more effected than others. I'm now playing on one that has no issues at all. The best way to find out how much lag a game my be like is to venture to Ironforge or Stormwind during peak times and compare to other servers what the overall lag is like. Ironforge is a huge city period so no lag will be hard to find, but you will see a difference through different realms.

The game is exciting and the peer to peer contact within the game makes it even more exciting. It is one of the best PC games I have ever played.
price watching January 27, 2006 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm sorry I missed the $23 price mentioned in other reviews. I have been tracking the price for the last 6 months and it seems to fluctuate between $24.99 and $29.99. If you want to track it yourself, the easiest way is to put it in your shopping cart and move it to the "save to buy later" section. Now every time you bring up your shopping cart it will tell you if the price has changed since your last visit--there will be a message at the top of the shopping cart page. If you can get it at $23, more power to you, but my recommendation would be to grab it when it hits $24.99.
GOOD DEAL January 12, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This pre-paid card is easy to enter into your WOW account. No problems. Also it is a little cheaper than paying monthly. Plus I charge it to my Amazon credit card and get 3% back!
Best price for WOW January 12, 2006 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Amazon just raised the price on this by $1, but it's still the cheapest way to pay for WOW! Plus, now that it's over $25 you can get free shipping on it.
