Solid, Reliable, Smooth Product July 30, 2008 I've been using this ever since it came out. Easy to install, works well, has kept all 3 of my house computers free of invasions and viruses. It doesn't use up much resources and isn't overly intrusive, although it does tend to get insistent if you ignore its requests to update it and allow Microsoft Windows/IE updates in as well. Best thing about it---you can install it on up to 3 computers.
Hint: Instead of renewing the virus protection annually, just buy a completely new version of the software, uninstall the old and then install the new---it's cheaper!
Have not receive product due to the One-click option July 29, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I haven't received the Windows Live OneCare 2.0 due to fact that when I placed the order, the One-click option had the shipping address as my recent address.
Mircosoft Windows Live One July 29, 2008 I am very satified with the Windows Live OneCare software. It works well on my computer. It was shipped immediately and I recieved it in record time.
Great Software July 29, 2008 Overall I think OneCare is a great piece of software. Now they are up to version 2.5, but if you have a OneCare license, you get to automatically update for free, which is nice.
I love that OneCare incorporates both protection and clean-up in one program. I do like the firewall and virus scanner(which is fast). I like that OneCare tunes up your computer every so often, because without that your performance can drastically slow. The backup is very powerful and is a very good thing for people to do. There are other useful tools in OneCare such as the ability to view startup programs and enable or disable them and that it can share printers over your network easily. The OneCare circle is a good idea and works well, however it would be nice if you could add more than 3 computers to your circle. I would bet that this will show up in a future release. This program does so much without using many system resources.
OneCare is a great program, and I highly recommend it. It is made to be simple and does not require technical knowledge to use it. I consider myself to be a technical computer user, but I still use it and like it a lot. I would suggest going to www.onecare.live.com and downloading the 90 day free trial to see for yourself how great this program is.
windows live one care is awful July 27, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Don't buy this! I don't know how it got so many positive reviews. It will not accept the product key with makes it worthless. You can't use customer service unless it accepts the product key. I will never buy anything from microsoft that I don't absolutely have to. No wonder Bill Gates retired-- his company puts out garbage!
