I order because of the price. I have received in time!! Whan I open the box I found glue on the reading surface. I try to wash but not success. I return the box(without compensation for the cost of shippment returning) and I received a replacement. This time the CD reading surface ok - Hologramic surface exfoliating. I was able to install with few errors and to make a secure copy! At activation OK, at Updating surprize!!!!!! NON GENUINE!!!!! I start calling Microsoft and after 3 days I had receive a second activation KEY. (ON CD HOLOGRAM IT IS NOT SHOWING GENUINE) Now all it is OK. From the first purchase until I have instaled it pass 72 days!!!!!! Wellcome to Microsoft Quality Product!!!
XP for Me is Solid and Good March 21, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have XP running on a bootcamp partition on my MacBook and it is doing just fine. I spend most of my working time in Word, hardly ever using any of the other programs in the Office suite. However, I use the Adobe products Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator a whole bunch. Other than that I play solitare, watch videos and, of course, use both Explorer and Firefox when I go online. That's about it for me, software wise, and XP handles it all without fail, without crashing and without giving me any headaches.
And I will miss it when I upgrade to Vista, however my machine can handle the upgrade. If yours can't, then I'd recommend you stay with XP. It's solid and good. Vista may be better, but it's not worth buying a new computer over.
Millions of times better than VISTA!!!! March 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I can't believe I never left a review for XP. XP is the best OS there has been. Windows ME comes close. And I'm sure, if you are a total computer guru, you will say Linex is. But we are talking Microsoft. The most general. KEEP your XP people. Microsoft is doing the Vista change-over just to make their billions of dollars again! With Vista requires all new software and new hardware. You can stretch this XP out until the new OS comes out after Vista! Just like many did for the Windows 98. Anyhow, XP has been the best software for me. Far less problems of missing files and unusual errors compared to any other Microsoft OS in the past. Just remember, to download Firefox people! Internet Explorer - created by Microsoft, has WAY too many holes in it. Protect yourself with Firefox!! and BOOOO to Vista!!!!!

This was a replacement. Windows XP remains one of the best computer operating systems around.

I am pleased with Windows XP as I had tried Vista and that system would not run several of my programs and hardware. I do photographic work with scanners and also use digital cameras. Xp works with all of it so I would recommend that operating system currently. As far as Vista is concerned, several hardware makers have not produced drivers for their products so you cannot run them with Vista!
