| Customer Reviews:
From Windows to Mac July 24, 2008 Converting from Windows to Mac was not very efficient or complete. The Mac version is not as intuitive as the Windows version. Should have waited for the 2008 version due out soon.
Miserable July 23, 2008 Quicken 2007, along with all Quickens for Mac, is another example of why monopolies are bad. There's no competition for personal finance software on Macs. As a result, the functionality of Quicken 2007 lags that of the Windows version where Quicken has to compete with Microsoft Money and other programs.
For example, I have an asset management account, which I have to qualify as a brokerage account. I have many regular payments coming in and out of that account. But because it's a brokerage account, Quicken won't let me use the Schedule Transactions feature. With the increasing popularity of asset management accounts, there is no reason for not enabling this feature.
Also, when downloading transactions, I do the One Step Update. Only that's a misnomer, as once it downloads the transactions for all of my accounts I need to do go a Download Transactions screen to review them. It's a pain.
Don't buy this software July 20, 2008 Very disappointed in this version of Quicken. I'V been a Quicken user for years on my PC and when I went over to a Mac I thought thier version would be similar. The import effort was flawed to the point of being useless and when I started over it was just too frustrating to continue. Best part of the deal is Intuit has a 60 day money back policy to take advantage of.
bad July 14, 2008 Setting it up on my mac has been nearly impossible and I still can't get it to work correctly or efficiently- Transferring the previous programs over from the old mac has been even more troublesome not recommended for the common folk
Does not support my bank July 12, 2008 I'd read all the awful reviews. I knew better. I tried it anyway, hoping that since I wasn't trying to import any old files, but rather start over from scratch, this would be at least useable.
It wasn't.
I couldn't even get started. Quicken 2007 Mac doesn't recognize my bank, Bank of America Military Bank, even though it recognizes the parent institution. Even though BoA Military has "quicken" in its export options.
Useless.
