Office 2007 is Impressive. June 27, 2008 Before purchasing Office 2007, I pretty much thought that Word and Excel were had reached their limits -- they did what they needed to do and that there was no real room for improvement.
I was wrong. I was so wrong.
The ribbon system is beautiful. The UI introduced me to features I never knew about and grouped the features intuitively. The default print view is the perfect size for working on a document. The contrast feels sharper. Calibri is the best font in the world for pretty much anything. The tools for charts are much stronger. The ability to automatically format large documents by type (reports, etc) is amazing. The included templates are perfect and show off functionality I did not knew existed.
Excel has been made much more user friendly. OneNote is the best notetaking software in the world. Publisher remains a disappointment. If Office was a family, Publisher would be the youngest brother that is not popular, attractive, good at sports, or musically inclined.
Some day they will make access look less like a refuge from early nineties computing. That day has not yet come. Still, it does what it needs to do.
Powerpoint turned out nicely. Solid improvements there.
InfoPath could use better sharepoint integration.
Groove is great if you can train people to use it.
most excellent June 9, 2008 not only did i get my product before the due date, but there was a mistake on his part and he was honorable and gave me a better deal then i had requested. you cannot ask for anything better.
A frustrated user considering linux or going back for a bite of the Apple June 5, 2008 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
more bugs in this piece of software than a cloud of locusts.
Maybe Steve Ballmer should focus on fixing the problems in Vista and Office 2007 rather than pursuing mergers!

WOW - Microsoft outperforms in this latest product that does it all. From MSDos to Ultimate they have progressed light years in years. Beautiful graphics and details that really upgrade your documents to professional quality.
So far so good March 26, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this product both for play and for work. My main focus has been Microsoft excel. Deployment of office 2007 at work will occur approximately third quarter 2008. Since I am technical support within my team of approximately 200 people I wanted to give myself time to get to know this product.
