Outlook 2007 Cleaner and more useful February 4, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I loaded Outlook 2007 over my Outlook 2003 and it coexists just fine with the rest of my Office 2003 applications. I have not had any problems with the programs or sharing information between them.
While I do not see the advantage to upgrading the entire Office 2003 suite Outlook 2007 has given me a better view of my appointments and makes it easier to track my to-do list.
I recommend the change to people that use Outlook consistently but do not want to change their entire Office Suite.
Microsoft fails to make Outlook 07 operate correctly for me January 28, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased Outlook 07 to sync my iphone with my laptop. Outlook 07 wreaked havoc on my computer, so much so, that I bought a new laptop. Instead of installing 07 on it, I installed Oulook 03. It has one small glitch that Microsoft refused to help me make work. So, I'm out the $120 for Outlook 07, AND my Outlook 03 still has a functionality problem. I would have to rate Microsoft with a big fat ZERO.
Can't have Office w/o it... January 27, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I don't care for the MSN Live stuff that is being pushed out there. Windows Mail, Calendar, & Contacts are not worth your valuable time in my opinion (more clicks = increased wasted time). Outlook puts all of it together into one convenient program (fewer clicks = reduced wasted time) and THAT's what I need and like. Every Office Suite ought to include Outlook. If yours doesn't, then the investment in this extra is required. In other words, Microsoft has found a way to bilk us for extra dollars and increase shareholder value; confound them.
Buy Microsoft Outlook if you must.
Outlook 2007 - Be aware... January 21, 2008 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Any review of this product must start with this: CAUTION: MICROSOFT DOES NOT INCLUDE "OUTLOOK 2007" IN MS OFFICE HOME/STUDENT EDITION! DO NOT BUY MICROSOFT OFFICE 2007 HOME AND STUDENT EDITION! That's why I had to buy it separately and why I am reviewing it here - to spread the word so others can be aware of the change (Microsoft sure won't broadcast it!). I have no problem with Microsoft charging whatever they want for their software. What I do have a problem with is Microsoft using the "bait and switch" sales practice, and not informing their customers of the change. As far as reviewing Outlook, it's nearly the same as the previous version. It still needs more convenient ways to block junk and SPAM email. It still does not include a backup feature. It still requires the user be fairly good at file management in order to use it. In other words, if you now use Outlook 2003, don't bother with upgrading. If you don't have it, download Windows Live Mail. It works better and it's FREE.

was shipped really fast. I selected 3 day shipping, and received it on the 2nd day. The software itself is...well..Microsoft; It has its ups and downs.
