4 out of 5 stars Good But Not Limitlessly Perfect   May 20, 2007

Ok, so there will always be a new version in the works, ok. But face it, Microsoft does good. Every time they issue a new "Windows" it is a success and an improvement.

More? Well, some have their doubt and problems here. Just be old-computer aware to support your desires (if you have problems). Meaning, there are going to be plenty of new things in every "Windows" release, but since '98 you can choose whether to use them or not. Go with what you know for awhile and transition (or not) -- like I did with the single-click.

Good clicking to all and to all I'm out.

3 out of 5 stars Not immediately popular with me   May 17, 2007

Received the product on a Saturday. Still in box, but computer prompted me to enter product ID number on Sunday. Microsoft Word is overwhelming at this point; prefer Works. Am sure this is powerful, effective software, but seeking help is frustrating. Video glimpses of product features offer little insight. At this early point in my Microsoft usage, I think the product is a bit expensive and doesn't exactly fit my need for a usable word processing program.

3 out of 5 stars get the bugs out   May 15, 2007

I use this for school, writing essays and sending them to prof's... and I'm having a heck of a time having word 07 "talk" to other versions of word, if I attatch an essay and send it to my comp from school, I have problems getting it to send on to another prof.. I wish the bugs were worked out before purchasing. I'm not the only student having issues with word 07 and getting their work to their prof.s..

5 out of 5 stars Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007, A pleasure to use>   May 15, 2007

If your interested in merely typing a letter, making a simple chart, or most any relatively simple application that you might engage in related to administrative applications I have found that Microsoft Works will do a very nice job.
However if you want professionalism, very concise detail, customization for your documents, charts, presentations. etc. this software is more than the average home/student/home business needs.
I find this program very encompassing and diversification seems almost endless. That being said, it is not difficult to use as the icons displayed seem to take you right where you want to go. Recommended Highly!
