Time to relearn Microsoft Office ? or not ? January 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you are a first time user of Microsoft Office or a current user of a older version with alot of time to relearn the software interface this is the product for you. It works well enough but having to retrain is very costly. I think this is a move from Microsoft to differentiate their product from the competition. Less open more proprietary. The problem is that the software user pays. I currently use MS Office 2007 and Sun Open office 2.2. My wife likes Open office, I have not decided yet.
Didn't need January 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this as a Christmas present for my son. I had previously bought & downloaded MS Office on my laptop. Didn't realize you could install it on 3 different computers with the retail license, thus I didn't need this one.
Great deal December 31, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Esta version ademas de contener las aplicaciones necesarias como power point, word y excel tambien trae 3 licencias para hogar, lo que es muy bueno porque son exactamente las computadoras que tengo, la de escritorio, mi laptop y la de mi padre
Positives and negatives December 31, 2007 The product is visually better but you have to relearn where things are. Not everything comes over from version 2003 intact, and as usual they have changed enough to add another layer of frustration.
Read several of the other reviews to get the flavor of the new Office. OneNote is a new product that I haven't started to learn (yet).
Being able to license on 3 machines is a strong positive.
Works for me December 31, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am hardly a Word expert, far from being proficient in all phases of using all the tools and skills of one who Word processes constantly, but I can say I like the new MS Office suite. The tutorials are quite helplful and informative, and if I need help, I call on my wife, who is an Office guru. She thinks MS Office 2007 is to be recommended, also. All in all-worthe the upgrade, especially if you are using Office 2000 as we were.
