4 out of 5 stars Pretty Decent   March 23, 2007

Ifyou started the game on launch day you could tell that SOE pushed Sigil into releasing this game before it was ready. It really needed bout 2-4 more months to review the feedback of the final beta and polish and balance things.

The game is now over a month old and has grown alot since launch day.

This game is definately not for those whom want instant gradification or fast leveling. It is designed to be a challenge. This game is not solo-play friendly and is designed more for those whom like group play. If you try this game out, I highly recommend that you level a toon to at least level 16 to get a feel for hwo things are. Most races dont get good skill sets till level 15.

3 out of 5 stars Rehashing Old Games   March 11, 2007

Seems like Vanguard is just a rehash of WoW with some of EQ/EQ2 mixed in. It helps get rid of the boredom of playing the same quests over and over in WoW, but these quests get old aftewr a while also. The only new area I noted was the diplomacy. It is kinda interesting, but becomes a grind after a while.

even with all the bugs in this game it is still far superior to any mmorpg i have played, including eq1, eq2, wow, daoc, ao, uo, swg

(Edits)(Was) a nice break from the normal WoW or EQ2. (Did not) hold me over till Conan. (After two months I went back to WoW - not enough people were playing the game.)
