5 out of 5 stars Crysis Yeah!!!!   June 7, 2008

I just want to say, buy it, you wont be sorry. My only recommendation if you want to play the game at it's best, you will need a killer computer, ex: CPU quad core, 4 G RAM, at least an 8800 GT video card and Direct X 10 (Vista OS) with this type of computer you will be able to run Crysis at High settings on everything and you'll see what I mean.

4 out of 5 stars Great game but my pc is bawling   June 6, 2008
I had been looking forward to this game. I downloaded the Demo and it was really good. All the reviews about the graphics are true...it is the best there is. That is also the problem with this game. It needs a high-tech PC for you to take full advantage of the high settings. Otherwise it will move like a slideshow. I got a single GeForce 8800 GTX and that is not nearly enough. It requires good Processor as well... quad core is best.

The game play was really buggy and i was tempted to give it a 3 but Crytek eventually released a couple service packs that fixed all the issues i had. So i decided to give the game play the full 5 stars. So check out the website www.nanosuit.com for updates.
I really love this game.

5 out of 5 stars Fun so far   June 5, 2008
I am surprised at how well the game runs on my system. I have a 3.0 gHz P4HT, 3 Gb of system memory, and my video card is an nVidia 8600GT that has 512 MB onboard. I can run everything on high, at 1280, with no AA. I don't even notice the AA being off. The graphics more than compensate. The water and sky effects stand out for me. Some people focus on the foiliage graphics, but I don't think my system renders it like the developers had intended. My frame rate isn't the greatest, but I'm more than happy with the performance seing that my system is no where near top of the line. Based on my system's performance don't believe it when people say that you need the latest greatest PC to enjoy this game.

As far as the actual game play, I'm having fun. I'm no where near finishing it, but the features and gameplay have won me over already. I like the different nano suit options, and the fact that there isn't one set way to complete an objective. This game is very open ended which, for me, makes the game very replayable once I finish it. The only nitpick I have is that the NPC voice audio doesn't match their lip movements. It could be do to my system performance. I would expect a game of this stature to notice the small details like that. If any of you have the same issue please leave me a comment. I'd like to know if it is my system or the game itself.

3 out of 5 stars most overrated FPS   June 4, 2008
this game was looking great until it hit that alien spaceship section which killed the atmosphere - I had to force myself to go through it in several sessions and even after exiting that hellhole the game had gone downhill for good. The positives are the jungle bit (very well done) and the surprise that my 3 yr old system boosted by an extra 1GB of Ram and a 1950xt card factory overclocked allowed me to play the game at full-spec for 90% of the time regardless of what trade magazines say - don't believe the hype! Play medal of honor airborne instead, a great fun game

1 out of 5 stars They call it Crysis, because you WILL cry at how badly it runs.   June 2, 2008

This review is in response to all those Gamer "Elitists" saying that this or that guys computer sucks, and it's NOT the game.Well guess what they are wrong it IS the game. I have a OC E6600, Vista 64, 4gb or Ram 8800GTS(G92,512mbOC)and I get about 25 fps with everything on high 1440x900 no AA, and it dips in Firefight to the low teens, unplayable. Forget about ultra high, thats a slideshow, my video card hadn't even been on the market when this game came out, and my card at this resolution is in the top 5 made. Not to mention the serious bugs, bad handling vehicle's and bad voice work. Not that I completely hate the game, but it seems Crysis is just a Tech Demo for the engine.
