5 out of 5 stars Does a Good Job Keeping Track of My Finances   March 15, 2008
I have been using Microsoft Money since 1999. I use it to keep track of my bank accounts and stock portfolio. Before I began using Money,it was a lot of work and very time consuming to keep track of my finances. Since I have been using Money, it has been very easy to keep up with my bank accounts and the volatility of the stock market. The articles in the investment section and the research tools are quite helpful in keeping up with what is going on on Wall Street.

4 out of 5 stars Long time Quicken user   March 15, 2008

I've used Quicken for 5 years, the last version being 2007. I got a little frustrated with Ituit's customer service, for reasons I will not expound upon due to the long explanation, and decided to try Money Plus. The 60 day trial helped with this decision. Let me say that I find Money Plus to be a LOT more flexible, and the reports are a lot more customizable than Quicken 2007. Either is a great choice, but if you want a program that allows you to customize the way you view your financial health, I think Money is the better choice. It has more features, more flexibility and has a much better overall feel.

3 out of 5 stars Alright program to keep you in check.   March 10, 2008

The program is great for your basic needs. It connects to the banks very well and you can stay up-to-date on your finances. The budget is great but you have to make sure to input all you catagories or it doesn't give you a very good breakdown. The down side is you always have to log in to your MSN account to open the program. I don't know if there is a way to disable this fuction. It is a bit of a hassle just to see you money.

1 out of 5 stars "Update in Progress" Forever...and ever....and ever   March 8, 2008
This could be a GREAT program. But, if you are buying this to keep track of the current balances in your account and are depending on current information via online updates....BUYER BEWARE. I usually don't write reviews, but everyone elses' reviews made me LAUGH (thank you I needed it). We should have a Money emotional support group. I am on amazon this morning looking at other software for handling my finances because I am at the mercy of this insane program. Like others, i have uninstalled, reinstalled, and called Microsoft and have given up. Money updates only when it wants to. It has a mind of its own. I can hit the update button 20+ times (each update takes at least five minutes, and it is true you can do nothing else while this is in progress) and it inevitably fails. I can leave it open, run some errands for a few hours, and I'll come home and magically my accounts are updated, occasionally. It never updates when you want, only when it wants to. It is a horrible, manipulative beast. What is wrong with Microsoft? I just don't get it. I was disappointed to read all the terrible reviews for Money Plus, that it is not worth the upgrade. So, I will continue to suffer I guess, manually going to each of my accounts web sites to check my balances, wasting hours of my time. I should send an invoice to Microsoft for my lost time.

2 out of 5 stars Not worth it!   March 7, 2008

I had Money 2007 and there was an annoying bug! So I bought Money plus thinking that bug would have been fixed. Guess what! it is still there! Not only the bug but everything looks exactly like 2007.

Bottom-line upgrade if you really have to otherwise not worth the money!
