If you need to run windows on an Intel Mac this product is for you. Been using it for two months without a single problem. Its fast, stable and reliable. Excellent product!!!

4 out of 5 stars Stable, dependable; just works!   November 11, 2007

I use VMware to run IE6 and IE7 on Windows XP so we can test websites we're developing. I've had no problems thus far. Occasionally I have to reboot windows (no surprise).

I decided on VMware Fusion over Parallels after seeing how flaky Parallels seemed to be on friends computers. Clearly it works well for some people, but VMware seems to run much faster and is quite stable.

4 out of 5 stars VMware Fusion is great software!   November 10, 2007

VMware Fusion is easy to install and works great to run windows only applications on my Mac. The capability of running a virtual machine couldn't be easier with this software. I was interested in Parallels first hearing good things about that. I found VMware Fusion to be more inexpensive. Amazon also delivered this in one day. Just be advised if loading this onto a Mac, you have to have a Windows OS startup disk with the authorization code. Overall, for the price of this software, it was definately worth it.

1 out of 5 stars Beware if you plan to use your Boot Camp partition   November 9, 2007

I could not get Fusion 1.0 (or 1.1) to install and run my Apple Boot Camp 1.4 partition of Windows XP Home (SP2), on either my up-to-date MacBook Pro, or Mac Pro. I spent 10 hours working with VMware tech support but they were no help and it was a complete waste of time, and endless Windows Activations. I then downloaded and installed the Parallels Desktop 3 trial and it ran the Boot Camp virtual machine perfectly. It was up and running in about 4 minutes flat. I plan on returning Fusion and buying Parallels. Fusion might be ok to install a new virtual machine, but beware if you plan to use your Boot Camp partition, at least until VMware sorts out the crinks.

5 out of 5 stars Much better than Parallels 3.0   November 9, 2007

I used Parallels from version 1.0 to 3.0 and found it to really slow down my MacBook Pro. Fusion allows me to use my Mac programs without a performance hit.
